My Love

I use to think you meet someone, fall in love, and there you both are in the state of being “as is” until this life runs its course complete. Alas, when I was a child, I thought as a child but you have required me to put away childish things.

I love you enough to keep discovering you, minute after minute, hour after hour, day after day, year after year. I love you enough to encourage and appreciate the masterpiece that is you. I marvel at who you were, revel in who you are becoming, rest in the you that is now. I am utterly dazzled by all that is you. The depths of your soul astound me. The breadth of your heart amazes me.

You are as delicate as an orchid but as mighty and powerful as crashing waves of the ocean. The complexities, nuances, intricacies God fashioned into you leave me in awe of you and grateful to God. The beauty of you makes me love God more, humbled to be in the presence of His work of art. It excites me, honors me, humbles me to walk this journey of life with you.

My love, My love…
